Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

  • Works in the housekeeping department, includes extensive daily cleaning, mopping, disinfecting the veterans rooms and the entire building.

  • Discuss evaluations and performance, provide by the Custodian Supervisor A, which she recommends disciplinary actions when needed, and conflict resolution.

  • Assure Quality Assurance through audits and staff in-services, aiding in improvement in the custodian department and adherence to policy and procedure standards.

  • Reports resident complaints and incidents, collaborating with Custodian Supervisor A to ensure all complaints and incidents are properly handled.

  • Safety, maintain a safe, clean and effective work environment for residents and employees.

Position-Specific Details:

Appointment Type: Probational

Career Progression: This position may be filled as a Custodian 1, 2, or 3 depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.

Compensation:This position is eligible for an additionalPremium Payof $3.00/HR for hours worked only.

Work Schedule: Hours are from Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. or 10:30 a.m.-7:00 p.m. to include some weekends and holidays.
