Journeyman Electrician – Solar Construction

Location: Loup City, Nebraska - Direct Placement

Compensation: $40-$45 Plus Per diem if eligible

Schedule: Full‑time

Travel: Required for active solar project sites

**About the Role**

We’re seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join a high‑performing solar construction team supporting large‑scale, ground‑mount solar installations. This is a hands‑on field role for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, thrives outdoors, and is ready for long‑term project travel within the region.

What You’ll Do

  • Install, terminate, and test electrical equipment for utility‑scale solar arrays

  • Perform conduit runs, wiring, combiner box installation, and inverter terminations

  • Interpret electrical drawings, one‑lines, and site plans with accuracy

  • Support commissioning teams and troubleshoot electrical or system issues

  • Ensure all work meets NEC , site safety, and quality standards

  • Collaborate with site leadership, electricians, and solar installation crews

  • Travel between active project sites as needed to support ongoing builds

What You Bring

  • Active Journeyman Electrician License (state‑specific or reciprocal)

  • Experience in solar , commercial electrical work, or large‑scale construction

  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, PV equipment, and jobsite safety

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a field crew

  • Organized, safety‑driven, and adaptable to changing site conditions

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Central City, NE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $61.00/hr.
