Position Summary:

The individual in this position will work within a dynamic, collaborative enrollment management environment and be an integral part of the enrollment team. The primary focus of this position is on being an integral part of the admission team; charged with identifying, recruiting and enrolling a large, highly qualified and diverse new student class each year and to consistently achieve institutional enrollment goals for new first-year and transfer students through the implementation of a comprehensive recruiting and prospect management.

This is a 10-month, exempt, full-time position and is fully in-person with no remote availability. This position will be a contract position from mid-August to May 31st.

Admission Goals: The Assistant Director will bring in 100 students Fall/Spring

Recruitment:

  • Assist with and participate in all campus recruitment programs.

  • Extensive follow-up with prospects to increase conversion rates from inquiry to application in assigned territory

  • Work as a team player along with other Admissions officers to develop and implement new strategies to attract sufficient applicants

  • Travel related research and recruitment activities utilizing the EPS software system and contemporary prospect management techniques.

  • Time commitment: days, evenings, select Saturday mornings, weekends (as necessary)

  • Duties: attendance at College day/night events, High School visits, Special presentations and workshops.

Application Evaluation:

  • Participate in the folder reading process, reading files from assigned geographic regions for undergraduate colleges (Russell Sage College)

  • Recommend admission decisions on applications for admission

  • Perform post-decision follow-up to maximize yield

  • Interviewing

  • Meet with prospective, applied and accepted students per appointment and/or drop-in visits

  • Ascertain Admissibility

  • Arrange for faculty interviews, campus tours, and additional reasonable requests

  • Post campus visit follow-up

Academic Liaison:

Interact with assigned departments for informational purposes and encourage faculty participation in Admission efforts including, prospect management, events and travel.

Administrative Liaison:

Interface with assigned administrative areas for the planned coordination of recruitment efforts.

Assist with Special Projects and Market Research:

  • Assist the Director of Undergraduate Enrollment Management with research, planning and other duties as assigned.

  • Assist with on-campus and off-campus programs including Open Houses, Off-campus interviews, School Counselor events, and other events as assigned.

Other duties as assigned

The estimated salary is $52,760.40per year for 40 hours per week for 44 weeks.

Job Requirements:

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree and must be self-directed, team oriented and capable of working toward individual and common institutional goals. Interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary. Preference will be given to candidates with a proven record of accomplishment and orientation toward consumer satisfaction. In addition, the successful candidate will have a high energy level, and possess a high level of computer literacy and analytical skills. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Valid Drivers' License Computer Skills

  • Ability to use CRM software (Slate) and internal software to track information, produce reports, and convey data. Knowledge of student information systems a plus

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Applications.
