Long Description

The Analyst, Digital Printing & Development will support the technical execution of digital printing initiatives for packaging, leading feasibility testing, and test art development, and supporting execution for regional programs. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated professional with an ability to work both independently and collaboratively against tight timelines, and will possess exceptional analytical skills, learning agility, and project management skills. This position will work with various stakeholders and cross-functional teams across brands and/or regions but will be based at 65 Maxess Rd, Melville NY (on-site daily).

Key Responsibilities

Feasibility Testing

  • Execute feasibility testing on various packaging formats, create die lines, and troubleshoot for digital printing on packages while adhering to timelines

  • Independently manage the package testing queue, coordinating components and materials and following up with Package Testing, R&D, Supplier, and Developer as required

  • Develop and maintain working relationships with vendors and internal groups to understand testing status and troubleshooting techniques for test failures

  • Conduct feasibility reviews to determine if testing is required based on historical data

  • Collaborate with department manager and director, material science, and other functions to develop predictive tools and techniques to optimize testing workflows

  • Manage on-site inventory of components and materials

  • Create, update & maintain testing documentation as needed for successful execution (guides, checklists, etc.)

  • Physically maintain digital printing equipment with daily and weekly cleaning tasks, part replacements, and third-party servicing

  • Communicate to various stakeholders regarding testing status, timelines and results as needed

Digital Artwork and Sampling

  • Use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other applications and tools to create new designs and effects suitable for digital printing

  • Collaborate within the department as well as with Creative and brand teams to translate new artwork concepts for digital printing into physical samples to support program pipelines

Technical Troubleshooting

  • Serve as a point of contact for equipment and software issues related to digital printing

  • Create and update technical troubleshooting guides

  • Support virtual training sessions for regional operations teams as needed

Project and Program Support

  • Support ad-hoc projects related to digital printing, (e.g., root cause analysis for test failures).

  • Aid in the identification and vetting of new and emerging technologies and decoration effects

  • Serve as a project coordinator for regional executions, interfacing with the brand and operations teams to ensure successful and on-time execution to meet annual program revenue targets

  • Support department manager and director on feasibility testing needs for global programs

Qualifications

  • Education: College/University graduate

  • 0-2 years of experience in a packaging or production environment

  • Technical aptitude and hands-on experience with machinery preferred

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Highly organized and able to work independently

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines

  • Eagerness to learn and develop new skills

  • Creative with a keen eye for detail

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • Availability to attend virtual meetings as needed outside local time zone

  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and handling graphic/art files preferred

  • Knowledge of printhead technologies, ink formulations, color matching, print quality, and equipment maintenance best practices is an asset

  • Familiarity with industry-standard printing applications (e.g., RIP software) is an asset

Location

  • 65 Maxess Rd, Melville NY (onsite daily)

  • 10-25% travel time as needed to local offices/sites
