Heavy focus on IEP implementation, progress monitoring, and student supports

Serve students with a range of disabilities, including multiple disabilities
Key Responsibilities

Provide specialized instruction aligned with student IEP goals

Develop and implement individualized learning strategies

Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff

Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation

Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions

Support students' academic, behavioral, communication, and functional skill development

Implement accommodations, modifications, and behavior intervention strategies
Required Qualifications

Valid state teaching certification as required by state and district regulations

Appropriate Special Education or Intervention Specialist licensure

Compliance with all professional standards of practice

Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age

Current CPR certification, if required
-
TB screening, PPD, or chest x-ray, if required

Current health certificate, if required
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university

Minimum one year of teaching experience

Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education Teaching Certification

Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement
