AkroFire is seeking a Production Technician (Mold Shop) who will hand mold silicon/neoprene coated fiberglass onto tools according to the specifications of the drawing.

Job Accountabilities:

  • Capable of using small hand tools such as hobby knives and scissors throughout the day

  • Using tools to verify output meets standards

  • Maintaining documentation as required throughout the manufacturing process

  • Ability to read drawing and follow work instructions

  • Ability to work well with others to ensure parts are completed in a timely manner

  • Maintaining a clean and F.O.D. free work area

  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Job Specifications:

Education: Requires a High School Diploma/GED or combination of relevant education and work experience may be substituted to meet educational requirements only.

Years' Experience: 0-2years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment or similar preferred

Skills:

  • Possesses high mechanical aptitude

  • Attention to detail

  • Willingness to learn

  • Action oriented

  • Ability to follow instructions explicitly or innovate, depending on the situation.

  • Possesses strong problem-solving skills

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Ability to read design specifications and technical drawings.

  • Comfortable performing repetitive hand operations to successfully manufacture and deliver products. Perform associated ergonomic exercises to mitigate fatigue and prevent injury.

  • Sitting 70% standing 30% throughout the day

  • Able to lift 40 lbs
