Position Overview:
Performs routine assignments and develops competence by performing structured work assignments. Accountable for the assessment, coordination delivery and evaluation of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care. Delivers holistic and individualized care to all patients in assigned area. Develops, implements, manages/coordinates an optimal interdisciplinary plan of care that incorporates psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and life-style factors. Fosters and maintains collaborative relationships between patients, their family/support group, physicians, and other healthcare providers through timely and effective communications. Adheres to hospital polices, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws/regulations and codes to promote a quality, highly reliable patient experience. Engages in continuous growth and development in professional nursing practice.

EDUCATION

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing Required

BSN Preferred
EXPERIENCE
- Less than six (6) months of experience in area of specialty Required
LICENSURES AND CERTIFICATIONS

Registered Nurse - CA State Licensure - RN Required

Basic Life Support Certification - BLS Required
-
Advanced Cardiac Life Support - ACLS Preferred upon hire/ or within 30 days of employment

Neonatal Resuscitation Provider - NRP Required

Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification - AFM Required
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Demonstrates working knowledge of patient care techniques, medications, treatments and general health care procedures

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Ability to: provide basic patient care to a diverse patient population• read/interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations• write legibly and effectively present ideas, document activities• demonstrate leadership abilities• deal with problems involving several variables in situations where only limited standardization exist

Pay Range is $78.47 to $78.47 / hour
The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
