About the Role
As a Cook with Concordia College Dining Services, you'll prepare high-quality food for students, employees, guests, and special events across campus.
You'll work with a variety of ingredients, menus, cooking techniques, and commercial kitchen equipment while collaborating with experienced culinary professionals and student employees. From everyday meals to special events and campus traditions, your work will help create an outstanding dining experience and bring the Concordia community together.
What You'll Do

Prepare high-quality meals using established recipes, menus, and culinary standards.

Work with a variety of ingredients, cooking techniques, and commercial kitchen equipment.

Help ensure food is prepared safely, efficiently, and with attention to quality and presentation.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.

Collaborate with culinary professionals and work alongside student employees.
-
Support catered events, special meals, and other campus dining experiences.

Provide welcoming service and contribute to a positive experience for students, employees, and guests.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
We're looking for someone who enjoys cooking, takes pride in their work, and thrives as part of a team. Restaurant, healthcare, senior living, school, catering, hotel, or other commercial food-service experience is valuable, but we also welcome candidates who have developed strong culinary skills through other experiences.

Your experience matters
Starting pay: $17 - $21 per hour, based on relevant experience and qualifications.
We recognize the value experienced cooks bring to our kitchen. Relevant culinary and commercial food-service experience will be considered when determining starting pay.
