Job details:

  • Area: Mental Health STRT Class: PSYL Shift: Tues-Fri 7am-5pm

Psychologist Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments, evaluations, and screenings.

  • Provide individual and group counseling to patients with mental health and behavioral health needs.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

  • Provide evidence-based psychotherapy and behavioral interventions.

  • Assess patients for mental health conditions, emotional concerns, and behavioral issues.

  • Provide crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies.

  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate.

  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation and patient records.

  • Provide education and guidance to patients on coping strategies, behavioral health, and wellness.

  • Follow applicable clinical, ethical, confidentiality, and facility standards.

**Minimum Qualifications **

  • Current, valid, and unrestrictedCA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

  • Minimum of 1 yearof recent experience as a Psychologist in a correctional setting.

  • Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

  • Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
