Job Duties
Key Responsibilities:
Operate a dump truck and a flatbed w/Moffett forklift to transport and deliver materials to designated locations. Load and unload heavy equipment and materials using forklifts or other appropriate machinery Safely operate dump trucks to transport and dispose of materials as required Follow assigned routes and schedules for timely delivery of goods Inspect vehicles before and after each trip to ensure they are in proper working order Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption Communicate with dispatchers and team members to coordinate logistics and resolve any issues that may arise
Requirements:
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating specific types of trucks (Class B); Class A not needed for this position. Proven experience operating roll-off trucks, dump trucks, or similar heavy equipment Familiarity with forklift operation and loading/unloading procedures Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately Excellent time management skills to ensure timely delivery of goods Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Physical Demands:
This role requires the ability to sit for extended periods while safely operating a dump truck, as well as frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and climbing in and out of the truck cab. The position requires regularly lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds, and occasionally heavier items with the use of proper equipment or assistance. Employees must have sufficient physical stamina and endurance to perform repetitive tasks, maintain sustained alertness while driving, and complete pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections. The role also requires manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination for vehicle operation, coupling/uncoupling, and equipment checks. Work is performed primarily outdoors and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, dust, and noise. The ability to safely navigate uneven terrain and work around moving equipment and traffic is required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
