SUNY Delhi seeks students to work with the Natural Resource Recreation and Sports program providing maintenance and operations for the Outdoor Education Center while working on Watershed restoration programs.
Duties:

Perform maintenance and operations for the Delhi College Outdoor Education Center (2 days/week, up to 14 hours/week).

Assist with New York City Department of Environmental Protection Watershed Restoration Projects including invasive species control and research, streamside monitoring, tree planting, and other watershed restoration activities (2-3days/week, up to 21 hours/wk.). Total work week is up to 5 days, two days at the Outdoor Education Center and two-three days with DEP.

Work with and maintain a variety of grounds equipment and hand tools associated with park maintenance and restoration activities.

Travel to and from restoration work sites.
Job Requirements:
Desired Qualifications:

Experience and/or interest or coursework in watershed restoration and biological monitoring.

Experience and/or interest in operations and maintenance of parks or natural areas.

Valid, clean driver's license with 3 years of driving experience (required qualification)

Basic understanding and/or interest in Catskill watershed issues.

Experience working with a variety of hand tools, and grounds or other power equipment.
-
Some basic experience with carpentry or construction.
-
Experience towing trailers and driving 12 passenger vans helpful.

Ability to perform physical labor in a variety of environmental conditions.
-
In good judicial standing with the College.

Able to commit from May 26 to August 21, 2026.
