Description

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community.

The Jeffrey Lane residence -- located in the beautiful hamlet of Hurley, known for its historic stone buildings and houses -- is the home to four active young men and two active young ladies.

People who work at Jeffrey Lane can expect to participate in a variety of fun activities with the individuals supported. Some of the things we enjoy are Musical Activities, movies both at home and at the local theater, playing video games, Legos, and playing Bingo. Picnics and spending time in the beautiful fenced yard are a favorite of the house too! They also enjoy vacations to Lake George.

Whatever activity they have on their list, there will probably be food involved – so if you have a passion for cooking, bring it to Jeffrey Lane!

A high school diploma or GED is desired. Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus. An acceptable NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge are a must. An informative, paid new hire orientation is provided in a comfortable learning environment.
