Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Application Programmer III to join our Financial Crimes technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in full-stack web application development with ReactJS and Java Spring Boot, RESTful services, and enterprise data platforms, and a proven ability to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable applications that meet business goals.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications supporting Financial Crimes capabilities.
Collaborate with business partners to refine stories, define requirements, and estimate work across the delivery lifecycle.
Design and implement RESTful services and multi-tier solutions using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
Build modern web UIs with ReactJS, Redux, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/JQuery.
Conduct proof-of-concepts to mitigate risk and validate new ideas and technologies.
Set up and automate CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Ansible.
Partner with Production Support, Platform, and upstream/downstream teams on change management, maintenance, and platform upgrades.
Analyze present-state, propose future-state solutions, and facilitate implementation with measurable outcomes.
Ensure adherence to Agile practices and Enterprise Change Standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Expertise in web application development using ReactJS and Java Spring/Spring Boot 5.x.
Strong experience building RESTful web services and multi-tier architectures.
Deep knowledge of Spring Core, dependency injection, annotations, and configurations.
Experience with JPA/Hibernate, Spring JDBC, and data access patterns.
Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, and Redux.
Experience with application servers and web containers such as Tomcat 9+, JBoss, and Apache 2.4.x.
Strong SQL skills, data analysis, and performance tuning for Oracle 19c or similar enterprise databases.
Hands-on with Maven 3.x, Unix shell scripting, and scheduling tools such as Autosys.
Practical experience with SDLC, Agile delivery, CI/CD, and change management using Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Ansible.
10+ years of relevant software development experience.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Node.js for backend or tooling use cases.
Financial Crimes, risk, or highly regulated industry domain experience.
Education:
BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline.
