Job Summary

Battelle’s National Security Business Line is seeking a Field Technician to assist the technical team in the execution of Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) efforts. This position is located on-site at Tyndall Air Force Base, near Panama City, FL .

The successful candidate will support efforts in emerging technical areas related to U.S. Air Force Civil Engineering requirements. Active areas of research include, but are not limited to: Evaluation of Blast and Ballistic Protection Systems, Mitigation of Internal Blast Effects, Protective Systems for Infrastructure and Asset Survivability, Resiliency Technology Development, and Additive Manufacturing Construction

Responsibilities

  • Working knowledge of standard construction techniques, with experience in concrete work, formwork, and fabrication

  • Working knowledge of a range of heavy equipment operations

  • Candidate must exhibit sufficient technical knowledge to perform routine assignments

  • Demonstrated ability to operate basic equipment and follow standard procedures

  • Manages ordering, receipt, and inventory of purchases, shipments, and equipment

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Other duties, as assigned

Key Qualifications

  • HS diploma and >2-year experience

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Good computer skills including MS Windows and Office

  • Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance

  • Sufficient medical fitness to work in the field to perform assigned duties. Position will involve working outdoors in all weather

Compensation Data

Battelle is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role is $55,000 - $70,000, in addition to our comprehensive benefits package. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to education, relevant work experience, skills, and certifications. Salary ranges may vary based on geographic location and market conditions.
