Job Summary: As an Oral Surgery Dental Assistant, you will work closely with oral surgeons and other clinical staff to assist with complex procedures, including wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, bone grafting, and IV sedation cases. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on, surgical setting and is passionate about patient safety, comfort, and high-quality care.
Dental Assistant (Endodontic) Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments and maintain strict infection control.

Assist the endodontist during root canal and related procedures, including suction, irrigation, and passing instruments.
-
Take and process dental radiographs/CBCT scans, review patient histories, and document treatment notes accurately.

Educate and support patients before, during and after procedures, including clear post- op instructions.
-
Coordinate with front office on scheduling, referrals, and follow-up communication with patients and referring to dentists.

Manage supplies and equipment, including inventory ordering and upkeep of endodontic materials. -

Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and safety regulations while fostering a positive, team-oriented environment.
**Minimum Qualifications **

Current, valid, and unrestrictedNY license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program or One year of hands-on experience as a Dental Assistant.

Dental Assistant Certification.

Minimum 1-2 years experience (NYS)
-
Familiarity with dental software and charting systems.

Experience as an Endodontics Assistant.

Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents.
