Senior Accountant | Onsite | Colorado

A growing public company in Boulder/Broomfield is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a high-visibility accounting team supporting a fast-paced and evolving business environment. This role offers broad exposure across financial reporting, technical accounting, revenue recognition, month-end close, and process improvement initiatives.

The organization is looking for someone who enjoys working beyond traditional accounting responsibilities and is interested in building toward future growth opportunities within the finance organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Support monthly and quarterly close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, financial analysis, and reporting support

  • Participate in technical accounting research and documentation related to new transactions, revenue arrangements, and accounting guidance

  • Support revenue recognition analysis under ASC 606, including subscription and recurring revenue models

  • Analyze financial results, fluctuations, and trends to support management reporting and decision-making

  • Assist with SOX compliance efforts, audit support, internal controls, and process improvement initiatives

  • Partner cross-functionally with finance and operational teams in a highly collaborative environment

  • Provide backup support for AP processes as needed

Qualifications:

  • 3–6+ years of accounting experience within public accounting, public company, or complex corporate accounting environments

  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and close processes

  • Experience with financial statement preparation and account analysis

  • Advanced Excel skills and ERP system experience

  • SEC reporting exposure is helpful but not required

The ideal candidate is analytical, adaptable, and motivated to grow professionally within a high-accountability environment. Candidates with exposure to technical accounting projects, reporting improvements, revenue analysis, or process enhancements are especially encouraged to apply.

Compensation: $105,000 – $130,000 base salary
