Universal Pre-K Teacher
Job Description
The Universal Pre-K Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment that promotes school readiness and supports the academic, social, emotional, and physical development of all children. The teacher will implement a high-quality curriculum, build positive family relationships, and maintain compliance with all UPK and licensing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons using Creative Curriculum.
Create a positive classroom environment that supports learning and exploration.
Conduct ongoing child observations, assessments, and documentation.
Support children's social-emotional growth and school readiness skills.
Maintain a safe, healthy, and organized classroom environment.
Communicate regularly with families regarding children's progress and development.
Collaborate with teaching staff, family workers, and program leadership.
Ensure compliance with all UPK, licensing, health, and safety regulations.
Participate in professional development and staff meetings.
Foster a culture where children are loved, respected, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (as required by UPK regulations).
Knowledge of Creative Curriculum and child assessment practices.
Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
Commitment to family engagement, diversity, and high-quality early childhood education.
