St. Mary’s Hospital offers a range of specialty services, including heart care, cancer treatment, stroke care, and orthopedics. We are accredited as a Chest Pain Center by the American College of Cardiology (ACC), designated as a Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission (TJC), and hold several orthopedic accreditations.

Responsibilities

The Hemodialysis Technician is an unlicensed health care provider responsible for assisting the Registered Nurse in the care of patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment within scope of practice. Responsibilities include maintenance and disinfection of dialysis equipment, ordering and stocking supplies necessary for in- patient dialysis treatment. Monitoring and cleaning supply area as well as other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.

  2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.

  3. One year of hemodialysis experience preferred.

  4. Hemodialysis Technician Certification, or equivalent training.

St. Mary's Medical Center - Kankakee offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $21.00 to $30.41. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
