Description
We are looking for an experienced Sr. Credit Analyst to support commercial lending decisions through in-depth financial review and sound risk evaluation in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will assess both prospective and existing borrowers, develop clear credit recommendations, and help maintain a well-managed portfolio that reflects regulatory expectations and internal lending standards. This position works closely with lending partners and leadership to structure credit facilities, identify emerging concerns, and support consistent, timely approval processes.
Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed reviews of complex commercial borrowing requests and translate financial findings into well-supported credit recommendations.

Oversee financial statement collection, annual relationship reviews, and covenant monitoring for an assigned commercial portfolio.

Prepare comprehensive credit memoranda that present risk ratings, repayment analysis, collateral considerations, and proposed deal structures.

Partner with commercial lenders, relationship managers, and credit colleagues to gather information and shape financing solutions that balance growth with prudent risk control.

Monitor portfolio performance and elevate concerns related to borrower strength, collateral value, or repayment capacity to management in a timely manner.

Maintain complete and accurate credit documentation that satisfies internal policy, audit expectations, and regulatory requirements.

Review loan files for quality, consistency, and adherence to lending guidelines, while addressing documentation gaps with the appropriate teams.

Contribute to audits and examinations by organizing supporting materials, answering inquiries, and facilitating access to required records.

Guide less experienced analysts through coaching, knowledge sharing, and feedback to strengthen team capability.

Recommend workflow enhancements that improve efficiency, reporting quality, and overall credit risk management.
Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

At least five years of commercial credit analysis experience within a banking environment.

Demonstrated background in underwriting commercial and industrial lending transactions.

Strong ability to interpret financial statements, assess repayment sources, and evaluate borrower risk.

Experience preparing written credit presentations and recommending loan structures and covenant terms.

Working knowledge of commercial lending policy, regulatory expectations, and credit administration practices.

Effective communication skills with the ability to present complex credit findings clearly to business partners and management.

Familiarity with commercial credit systems and documentation tracking tools is preferred.
