Job Title: Trailer Maintenance Technician - 22-26/hr

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Trailer Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining and repairing trailers. The role involves conducting wheel-end services, performing tire repairs and replacements, and troubleshooting various systems including air brakes, electrical/lighting, and suspensions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair trailers.

• Conduct wheel-end service including hubs, bearings, and seals.

• Perform tire repairs and replacements with tires weighing up to 75 lbs.

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair air brake systems, electrical/lighting, suspensions, landing gear, doors, floors, and frames.

• Use hand, power, and pneumatic tools.

• Occasionally perform minor structural welds.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in air brake systems, pneumatic tools, hydraulic systems, and suspension.

• Experience with fabrication, MIG, TIG, and fitting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.

• Basic computer skills for diagnostics and record-keeping.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• Ability to lift to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks such as stooping, climbing, and kneeling.

• Ownership of a complete set of quality hand tools is preferred.

Work Environment

Work primarily outside at the ports, with a schedule of 2nd shift hours from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday. There is also a mandatory half shift on Sundays from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

This is a Permanent position based out of Garden City, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $54080.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
