Full job description

POSITION AVAILABLE    Early Childhood Teacher 1.0 FTE position at New Hope Learning Center Applicants must hold appropriate MN teaching license Salary and benefits based on Teacher Contract

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and implement weekly lesson plans with direction from Creative Curriculum and Second Step Plan and organize physical setting, curriculum, and student activities to promote a literacy and mathematics rich environment of successful learning Foster a positive environment to support the academic, social and emotional development of all students Develop inclusive, comprehensive lesson plans to be utilized during small groups, large groups and choice time Assess student progress using Teaching Strategies GOLD Promote family engagement Provide effective direction and support for education assistants and collaboration with other licensed professionals Provide systematic and developmental evaluation and assessment to be included in the child's cumulative record Display sensitivity to families regarding gender, culture and diversity Promote and implement evidence based and inclusive preschool practices Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS  

Current Minnesota teaching license with Early Childhood/Prekindergarten endorsement preferred Experience with diverse, multicultural children and families Ability to work effectively with children, families and colleagues Ability to collaborate and work in a multi-disciplinary team Experience with Microsoft and Google programs Ability to work independently, with limited supervision Evidence of self-motivation, enthusiasm, patience, problem solving and flexibility Experience in administering required early childhood assessments  

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
