This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) at the Gateway Club located on JBSA Lackland. This is a Flexible category position with guaranteed 00 hours per week and may work up to 40 hours per week. Employees appointed to flexible category positions are not eligible for benefits. Who May Apply: Open to everyone. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Experience with provides knowledge of club, restaurant, and retail operation. Must possess experience which provides knowledge of cash handling procedures and sales operations such as; receipts, disbursement, examination. deposit and use of cash accountability control methods. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Ability to provide work directions to other club employees. 2. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. 3. Knowledge of fire, safety, and health regulations. **NOTE: Those qualified applicants who meet both the minimum qualification requirement(s) and highly preferred criteria(s) will be considered best qualified for this position and will be referred to the selecting official(s) first for consideration. The primary purpose of this position is to provide support and assist the Club Manager in the economic and efficient operation of the club.Monitors operations of a club or assigned area, normally during absence of the manager and assistant manager, and normally at night or on weekends. Responsible for issue, receipt and control of cash boxes. Prepares a report of all significant occurrences during the shift. Reviews schedule of functions that are to take place during the assigned shift and ensures they are carried out as planned by management. Ensures that only authorized personnel use the facility, and that the club rules, regulations and established procedures are followed. Assures patron satisfaction by resolving complaints and other customer problems. Provides instruction and guidance to all club staff members on functions taking place during the shift. Inspects and secures facility at the end of the shift. Performs other related duties as assigned.
