As a Financial Consultant II, you will have overall accountability for the day-to-day financial support of multiple Regional Market/ Specialty Accounts clients. You will be part of an overall account team tasked with delivering an excellent customer experience with MetLife through the administration of the group benefit products offered.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the development and completion of customer financial reports, including identifying reporting needs, data and trend analysis and effectively communicating results to meet client needs
- Prepares year-end financial accounting and ERISA reporting for clients; validates monthly revenue projections and ensures data integrity
- Responsible for monitoring the key financial parameters of internal management reporting and capable of proactively identifying discrepancies, trends, and results that would impact Customer Unit financial objectives
- Participates in client meetings, in person or via conference call, and prepares materials as needed, participates in client account audits and actively engages in strategic planning process
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- 5-7+ years of experience in financial consulting, accounting, or related fields
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced accounting and analytical problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and sound decision-making.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (MS Access a plus), with strong knowledge of products, services, and systems.
- Effective project management skills, able to work independently or collaboratively, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing deadlines.
Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.
The expected salary range for this position is $74,500 - $99,300. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
