Position Overview:

Responsible for the overall delivery of resident care and the effective functioning of the unit as designated by the Director of Nursing.

Supervises RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other Nursing Service employees. Assists with scheduling of employees

Evaluates outcomes of care to assure that nursing activities have met minimum standards of care.

Possesses leadership and management skills by exercising sound professional judgment and ethical behavior in decision-making and performance of responsibilities.

Coordinates orientation and training of new employees.

Participates in nursing staff disciplinary action process.

Must be a positive role model by demonstrating professional practice and behavior, being competent in all areas under his/her direction.
Position Highlights:

Shift Differentials: $4 - $10 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor(s).

Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations as well as company policies and procedures.

Support the mission, vision and values of the organization.
Qualifications:
-
Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
-
Licensed in North Carolina as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
-
Knowledgeable of the standards of the Department of Financial Services (DFS) and Federal Medicare and Medicaid regulations for long term care.

Preferably two years of clinical experience in an acute care setting and/or long-term care setting.

BLS Certification
