Description
The Procurement Manager is responsible for developing and leading procurement activities, establishing standardized purchasing practices, optimizing supplier relationships, and driving cost savings initiatives across the organization. This position combines strategic planning with hands-on execution to improve procurement performance, enhance vendor management, and support operational objectives. The Procurement Manager partners closely with operational and financial leaders to ensure cost-effective procurement strategies, supplier performance management, contract optimization, and compliance with company purchasing standards. This role plays a key part in supporting organizational growth, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:

Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and purchasing practices that align with organizational goals.

Manage supplier relationships, contracts, and performance metrics including pricing, quality, and delivery performance.

Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers when existing vendor performance does not meet expectations.

Negotiate and manage contracts with fleet management organizations and other key vendors.

Lead cost savings initiatives and support change management efforts to drive organizational adoption.

Partner with business leaders to understand procurement requirements for upcoming projects and operational needs.

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchasing activities to support business operations.

Participate in annual planning and budgeting processes to forecast major expenditures.

Track and monitor procurement compliance across locations and business units.

Prepare and deliver reports on vendor performance, procurement KPIs, benchmarking activities, and cost analyses.

Execute large purchase orders and oversee fulfillment and delivery processes.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify procurement-related challenges and implement solutions.

Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications
Required Experience and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Six (6) or more years of procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or related experience.

Experience managing vendor relationships, supplier negotiations, and procurement contracts.

Strong understanding of procurement principles, supply chain management, and purchasing processes.

Experience supporting multi-location organizations with diverse service offerings.

Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
-
Ability to build effective relationships and serve as a trusted business partner.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Experience with procurement or purchasing software preferred.
