Description

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community.

Located in the heart of New Paltz, Joalyn is a coed home for eight very active and outgoing people --- each with his or her own distinct personality and goals. Working with these men and women who live at Joalyn presents a sense of adventure and purpose that we all seek out in life. A high school diploma or GED is desired. Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus. An acceptable NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge are a must. An informative, paid new hire orientation is provided in a comfortable learning environment. Training will also include Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration certification.

HOURS: 38.5/Tuesday through Thursday - 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm/Friday 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm/Saturday 9:00 am to 7:30 pm

STARTING SALARY: $ 18.26 to $ 20.09 per hour, with additional shift differentials as applicable
