Job Summary

Provides strategic planning, communication, and guidance to supply chain leadership to ensure seamless distribution center operations. Oversees the execution of production and labor plans, monitors key performance indicators, and ensures efficient building flow, optimal staffing, and alignment with organizational goals.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • Implements strategic initiatives to enhance associate experience, optimize work scheduling, and drive productivity growth.

  • Partners with senior operations leaders to develop departmental labor plans and workforce compositions that meet customer service expectations and controllable labor budgets across multiple distribution centers, while sharing optimization strategies.

  • Configures and maintains supply chain systems to develop production plans, establish divisional structures and operational cadences, and optimize costs while improving service levels and supporting a positive associate experience.

  • Analyzes operational performance to identify opportunities to adjust distribution plans and improve effectiveness, while determining root causes of performance variation across the division.

  • Provides education and training to DC and senior leadership on processes, tools, and resources; offers coaching in identified areas of need; and identifies common themes in distribution centers across division to prioritize future value‑creation opportunities.

  • Forecasts short‑term productivity targets based on staffing trends, strategic initiatives, and process changes to align costs with profit and loss goals while optimizing operations across multiple distribution centers in the assigned division.

  • Collaborates with Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, and leadership teams to address distribution center staffing and training needs across the division while driving broader changes to enhance performance throughout the network.

Nature and Scope

  • Solutions require analysis and investigation.

  • Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience. May recommend/make decisions regarding new programs/initiatives that have significant impact to the business and carry consequences in unsuccessful endeavors.

  • Manages a larger team or multiple small teams through direction of subordinate management and/or supervisory staff.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

  • Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

$122,300.00-$187,900.00 Annual
