Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

  • Capable of obtaining quality radiographs of all body parts using proper exposure, markers, and shielding. Knows how to use portable x-ray machines and c-arms

  • Assists Radiologist with Fluoroscopic procedures

  • Instructs and educates patient regarding the ordered test and prepares the patient for the procedure

  • Able to use CR reader, erase CR cassettes, send images from CR reader, and perform image manipulation as necessary

  • Able to access PACS, review studies, and perform basic functions for image manipulations. Resolve QA issues, close studies as reviewed, burn CD’s, transfer images, and print from PACS

  • Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms

Job Requirements

Required

  • Graduate of an accredited college or technical school for Radiologic Technology

  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire and

  • Medical Radiographer: ND, upon hire and

  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Preferred

  • Radiologic Technologist experience in a Critical Access Hospital

Pay Range

$28.10 - $41.80 /hour
