Job Description Summary:

The Supervisor of Facilities is responsible for coordinating, leading and oversight of including but not limited to: facility repairs, preventive maintenance, grounds maintenance, landscaping, snow removal, assistance and support of construction/renovation projects at one, or more campuses. The Supervisor of Facilities has expense management responsibilities for: maintenance services, supplies and contracted services. The position requires experience with obtaining competitive bids and scheduling vendors and contractors to perform maintenance services and repairs. He/she prioritizes, schedules, assigns, directs, supervises and evaluates the work of the Facilities Specialists.

Responsibilities And Duties:

60%

. Maintenance & Repairs: Directs and supervises maintenance, preventive maintenance, grounds maintenance projects, landscaping functions and snow removal at one or more sites.

30%

. Vendor/Contractor Coordination: Contacts, schedules, meets and coordinates all work performed by multiple vendors and or contractors. Maintains spending budgets, manages direct report associates overtime, performs associate reviews, schedules training and evaluates future training needs. Works collaboratively with multiple departments such as, Security, Safety Management, Environmental Services and Parking Services to maintain a safe environment.

Grounds Maintenance Supervision applicable sites: Assist in coordination, inspection, and approval of work completed by contracted vendors. Services to include, but not limited to: landscape maintenance, tree removal, parking lot cleaning, asphalt/concrete seal coating and repairs, snow removal, exterior window cleaning, wildlife control, external light replacement/repairs and other external grounds maintenance services. Coordinates work assignments for self and Facilities Specialist I for maintenance and repair of the facility and grounds. Performs required monthly inspections and documentation of all building life safety equipment.

Additional Job Description:

Associates Degree or equivalent Experience and High School Diploma Knowledge of building codes and standards as they apply to facilities and grounds maintenance including JCAHO, NFPA, OSHA & City of Columbus building codes. Experience and knowledge of project management, contracts, RFP and RFQ process, construction methods, and the ability to read, interpret blueprints, schedules and standards. 5 years of health care maintenance or commercial maintenance related Experience .
