In alignment with Virginia pay transparency practices, the expected pay range for this position is $72,259$83,657 per annual, based on qualifications and experience. This range is not inclusive of the full value of benefits or other total rewards offered by the company.

Basic Job Functions:

Responsibilities for the Shipping Lead include but are not limited to:

  • Directly influence productivity by coaching, training, and developing shipping teammates while collaborating with production, ensuring safe and efficient product movement and loading.

  • Complete and manage documentation, maintain inventories, operate forklifts, perform quality checks, find discrepancies, and implement solutions alongside the leadership team.

  • Direct carrier traffic, coordinate inbound receiving, evaluate shipping processes for optimal space utilization, and negotiate rates with carriers for cost-effective shipments.

  • Manage schedules to ensure quality and efficiency and communicate with internal and external customers for timely deliveries.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate

the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 years of logistics, shipping, receiving, or otherwise related experience.

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
