Job Duties

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager will oversee all installations, repairs, and upkeep of plant operations.

The individual selected will lead a team of three (3) technicians, manage maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with safety, environmental and operational standards.

Ensuring efficient and safe operations to meet product specs and customer demands.

  • Maintain and develope new as needed preventive and corrective maintenance programs.

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance staff and contractors.

  • Monitor and manage maintenance budgets and expenditures.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Maintain records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with mechanical, electrical and HVAC systems.

  • Collaborate with other departments to support production and operational goals.

  • Recommend and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.

  • Vendor review and qualification.

  • Procurement of equipment and spare sparts.

Minimum Education Required

  • Associate's degree (A.A.S. or A.S.) or technical diploma in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Technology, Electrical Technology, HVAC, Mechatronics, or a related field.

  • Asset: B.S. degree in maintenance related field and/or five years experience in technical maintenance areas: electrical, instrument repairs, mechanical, HVAC, etc.

Minimum Experience Required

  • 5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment and 2 years of maintenance leadership experience.

Personal abilities

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Promote a healthy work environment through good employee relations.

  • Manage spare parts inventory to minimize downtime.

  • Manage Preventative Maintenance program.

  • Manage work order program.

General criteria

  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.

  • May be required to enter confined space and work at heights above 4 feet.

  • Schedule: 8 :00 AM to 4:30 PM

  • On-call weekend and off shift availability as necessary to provide operational management support.

  • Ensure employees adhere to OSHA and food safety requirements.

An asset

  • PSM program knowledge to ensure regulatory compliance.

$90,000.00 - $105,000.00 / Annually

Additional Compensation

  • Salary range: $90,000–$105,000, with flexibility based on experience and qualifications, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus of up to 10%.

  • Annual salary review to recognize individual contributions and market competitiveness

  • Relocation assistance available for eligible candidates relocating to the Hutchinson, MN area in accordance with company policy.
