As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Reception in Lakewood, NJ , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service at the front desk by following site-specific procedures, assisting employees, patients, visitors, and/or vendors, and supporting a professional first point of contact for the location.

• Monitor access to the location by verifying identification, managing visitor sign-in processes, issuing visitor credentials, and reporting unusual or unauthorized activity to the appropriate personnel.

• Answer phones, direct inquiries, and document routine activities, incidents, and/or observations in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site expectations.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.

• Support healthcare location operations by helping to maintain order in lobby and reception areas, providing wayfinding assistance, and following emergency response activities and other security-related procedures as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

• Customer service experience is preferred.

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
