Job Summary:

  • Directs Center nursing activities to assure the delivery of quality nursing services, in accordance with established nursing procedures, regulatory requirements, Devereux Standards of Care and best practices.

  • Serves as a nursing expert and guides staff to implement a program focusing on high quality health care services. Provides leadership, training, and ongoing support to nursing staff.

  • Maintains department budget and fiscal health

  • Coordinates and collaborates with other departments to include medical, admissions, operations, and quality management.

  • Serves as liaison with on-call physicians, community medical providers, and independent contractors

Qualifications

Education:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, and have a license to practice nursing as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

  • BSN required

  • MSN preferred

Experience:

  • Requires a minimum of five (5) years nursing experience in a health care facility, preferably working with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, mental health diagnoses, and/or TBI.

  • At least three (3) years supervisory experience

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Proficient computer skills and mastery of Microsoft applications

  • Must possess and maintain valid driver's license, and be at least 21 years of age
