Job Title: C#.NET Developer

Job Description

As a Software Developer you will be part of a diverse global team making a significant impact on the organization. You will utilize your analytical thinking skills along with experience in design patterns, best practices, structured development processes, and engineering principles to create robust, scalable, maintainable, and user-friendly solutions that align with business priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Participate as a member of the software development team and lead development in specific software components to deliver business features and software according to established schedules.

  • Investigate and analyze new or existing technologies, third-party software, and development tools to solve technical challenges and meet design specifications.

  • Create detailed software designs under the guidance of technical leadership using industry-recognized methodologies and tools.

  • Independently investigate, understand, and analyze issues with existing and legacy systems to propose fixes and assist in testing and documentation.

  • Develop software using industry-recognized languages and tools following company standards, guidelines, and best practices.

  • Ensure software conforms to designs, is testable, and maintainable.

  • Collaborate closely with quality assurance to assist in defining test cases, creating, reviewing, and executing test plans.

  • Review product documentation and technical instructions for completeness and accuracy.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in C#

  • Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science

  • 3-5 years of direct hands-on software development experience

  • Proficiency in Object-Oriented, interface-driven design and implementation

  • Proficiency in Microsoft .NET Framework and related development tools

  • Understanding of Windows operating system, server platforms, and security models

  • Experience with large scale, multi-threaded, and asynchronous design and implementation

  • Knowledge of web-based communication protocols such as HTTP, HTTPS, UDP

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Understanding of MVVM, WPF, WCF, Entity Framework and LINQ

  • Understanding of Linux and Unix-based Operating Systems

  • Knowledge of languages such as C/C++

  • Experience with web technologies like Meteor JS, React, Node.js, MQTT, JavaScript, jQuery

  • Understanding of database technologies including Microsoft SQL Server, SQLite, MongoDB

  • Experience in database-driven and service-oriented design and architecture

  • Familiarity with modern unit testing practices and major vendor frameworks

  • Knowledge of security protocols and models for web-based applications

  • Self-motivated and able to perform well in a collaborative team environment

  • Experience with source control systems and change management tools (e.g., Git, Mercurial, Subversion)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Work Environment

The position requires onsite work in Westford, MA. The work environment includes collaboration with the team, utilizing various technologies and equipment necessary for software development.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Westford, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $57.00 - $57.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
