Job Description

The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic team providing technical and engineering services to the Customer's Air Traffic Control Systems worldwide. Will apply engineering techniques, principles and precedents to develop, modify, install, test, evaluate, or operate electronic equipment/systems. These skills will also be used in reviewing, writing, and updating technical documentation and drawings, development of technical manuals, test plans and procedures, training curriculum and materials for fleet training evolutions. Responsibilities will also include instructing training classes, maintenance, repair, inspection or troubleshooting of electronic equipment/systems. Will be required to travel up to 25% worldwide within 24 hour notification in support of the Customer's Air Traffic Control Systems. BAE Systems wants people who are self-starters and who have experience with working in small teams.

This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • High school diploma and completion of U.S. Navy Electronics C School or equivalent

  • At least 3 years of experience in troubleshooting and repair of electronic systems

  • Experience in maintenance, repair, restoration, test, and evaluation of Air Traffic Control systems

  • Experience using, reviewing, writing, and updating technical documentation such as test plans, maintenance and assembly procedures, schematics, technical manuals, drawings, and wire lists

  • Ability to conduct Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) level repair of electronic systems

  • Familiarity with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP)

  • Knowledge on the proper use of common and specialty hand tools, general purpose electronic test equipment (GPETE) and special purpose electronic test equipment (SPETE)

  • Ability to provide electronic, telephonic, and on-site fleet support on the operation and maintenance of ATC systems

  • Ability to develop training curriculum and materials for training evolutions

  • Ability to train others on the use and maintenance of ATC electronic systems

  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Experience in maintenance, repair, restoration, test, and evaluation of AN/TPN-31 ATNAVICS and/or AN/TRN-47 AMTAC

  • Familiarity with the operation of Unix and/or Linux software

  • Flexibility to learn and utilize other systems supported by this competency

  • Sec and/or Net certification

  • Active security clearance

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $66017 - $105628

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
