Tessera is seeking an experienced Production Control Clerk Lead. The Production Control Clerk Lead is a working lead responsible for supporting the effective and efficient execution of the end-to-end (E2E) work management process. This position assists with work reception, client interface, preventive maintenance (PM) generation, planning and scheduling integration, material integration, shop execution, reporting, and closeout while supporting Production Control Clerks and operational coordination .

T ypical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Under the guidance of the Production Manager and in collaboration with key project personnel, helps define and suggest areas for improvement to the E2E work management process. 

  • As a lead, coaches and trains Production Control Clerks and other personnel on work management processes.

  • Supports the Production Manager by making suggestions to the shop scheduling process, ensuring planning, material availability, and shop availability are integrated to  optimize  execution wrench time. 

  • Coordinates with the Reliability/EAM team to  assist  the Production Control Manager in ensuring required NAVFAC Maximo entries are  completed  and core data is aligned within TMAX, including assets, PMs, and Job Plans. 

  •  Responsible for ensuring warranty data is added to TMAX, Clerks are alerted through TMAX, and warranty issues are resolved or escalated. 

  • Enters new work orders, posts labor, posts material, closes work orders, and reflects status in the NAVFAC Maximo system. 

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Maximo.

  •  Responsible for the liability limit, bullet, and Government Purchase Card ( FedMall ) processes.

  • Works with PWD and clients as needed and maintains professional relationships and support for DPW shops.

  • Assists the Manager with identifying requirements and improvement suggestions for internal and client-facing reporting requirements, including contract reports, internal reports, and automated alerts. 

  •  Provides Shop Supervisors and Foremen with  accurate  data as  required . 

  •   Fills in as a Production Control Clerk for work reception and tracking as needed due to shift schedules, leave periods, and peak periods.  

  • Coaches, mentors, and trains the Production Control Team.

  • Notifies the Manager of employee concerns and may help diffuse situations while  maintaining  a respectful demeanor. 

  • Coaches' employees on performance, understanding work tasks, and using time efficiently, while notifying the Manager of concerns or issues as they arise. 

  • Identifies requirements and improves internal, Public Works (PW), and client facing process and reporting requirements including contract reports, internal reports, and automated alerts. Ensures all key reports and deliverables are provided to PWD per contract – including leveraging PowerBI dashboards.

  • Contribute to a supportive team environment

Qualifications: 

  • Highschool diploma/GED is required .

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a closely related field.

  • Proven experience in workorder processing and management .

  • Significant experience with a CMMS – preferably Maximo.

  • Significant experience with reporting processes and applications such as MS excel, PowerBI .

  • Knowledge of key maintenance management processes.

  • Employees expected to achieve the Certified Reliability Leader (CRL) or Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) designation within 2 years of start.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

  • May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.

  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required .

  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

  • A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
