Woodridge is currenting seeking a skilled and dependable General Maintenance professional to join our facilities team.
This role is responsible for performing a wide range of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and comfort of our buildings and equipment. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to safety and service excellence.
CORE COPENTENCIES & SKILLS
- Technical Proficiency

Demonstrated ability to perform basic plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs.

Skilled in preventive maintenance of equipment such as boilers, pumps, compressors, and fans.

Familiarity with DDC temperature control systems, oil-fired water heaters, and automatic water softeners.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical repair instructions.
- Problem Solving & Decision Making

Capable of diagnosing and resolving maintenance issues independently.

Uses sound judgment when responding to emergency calls or unexpected repairs.

Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and repairs.
- Safety & Compliance

Adheres to all safety protocols including universal precautions, PPE use, and hazardous material handling.

Conducts and documents monthly fire drills and emergency generator tests.

Reports policy or safety violations promptly and follows escalation procedures.
- Communication & Teamwork

Responds professionally to maintenance and security calls from staff.

Collaborates effectively with team members and other departments.

Provides supervision and guidance to diversional work programs as needed.
- Adaptability & Reliability

Willingness to rotate shifts and respond to off-hour emergencies.

Flexibility to work across multiple facilities under CVMC, Inc.

Performs seasonal tasks such as mowing, raking, and snow removal.
EXPERIENCE
One year of formal training in a skilled trade or two to three years of on-the-job training experience in plant maintenance.
