The Opportunity:
We are currently on the lookout for a n Engineer - Data Engineering - Tableau to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Develop ing Tableau Desktop visualizations (90%) :
-
Use existing legacy reports as examples, develop Tableau vizzes to replace them

Fulfill new solution requests, where no reporting currently exists
-
Help manage library of existing vizzes
-
Continuous learning & development using Tableau
Support ing the team that provides full-stack analytic solutions (5%) :
-
Provide guidance and get involved in data governance and data source development
-
Deliver b ackup support and development in existing BI solutions (Cognos, Excel)
-
Perform o ther duties and coverage as required by the team
Support ing overall business migration to Tableau (5%) :

Administer user security and access requests
-
Provide training sessions to other Tableau users

Run viz demos to end users

Investigate data issues; answer user questions.

Liaise with Tableau Server team
Requirements:
-
A B achelor's D egree in C omputer S cience or equivalent, and 1-2 years of experience
-
Expert proficiency using Tableau Desktop
-
Must have a means of demonstrating skills and abilities ( e.g. Tableau Public portfolio)
-
Expert proficiency writing SQL SELECT statements
-
Very strong technical, analytical, and data visualization skills and an understanding of visualization best practices
-
Must be a n independent thinker and who is skilled at proposing new ways of looking at old problems
-
Can effectively communicate, both written and verbal, to any level of the company and can serve as an “analytic translator”
-
Can facilitate training and coaching of others to improve their ability to use data and analytical tools
-
Has a proven productivity track record while working remotely, with minimal supervision
-
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
-
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools, advanced Excel skills
-
Must have the a bility to adhere to strict deadlines and manage time effectively

Should be d etail - oriented and possess the ability to handle multiple tasks/assignments
