Job summary: To inspire and prepare all students with the confidence, courage and confidence to achieve their dreams, contribute to community, and engage in a lifetime of learning by assisting EL teaching staff with instructional and operational tasks, working directly and indirectly with students.

Responsibilities and tasks include:

Assist in general classroom operational procedures such as setting up and operating audiovisual equipment, setting up physical education equipment, preparing and setting up art supplies.

Work directly with students individually or in small groups on academic and motor or social skills, e.g., math, science, English, color recognition, decision making, self-esteem building, etc.

Assist students and teachers in large group activities/projects such as art, physical education, dramatics.

Seek out special instructional materials to assist with students having particular learning problems, e.g., separate math skill worksheet, not a part of teacher's curriculum.

Type worksheets, tests, or various instructional material; duplicate and assemble.

Correct tests via computer. Record results in grade books.

Perform other duties as assigned by principal or designee.

Minimum qualifications include:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred qualifications include:

Demonstrate ability to work with students.

Computer and word processing experience helpful.

Bargaining unit: Educational Support Professionals

Salary: View Classification 2 (EL) and Classification 1 (Clerical) salary grids on the respective bargaining unit listed above, accessible via our Employee Contracts page

Work schedule: Monday through Friday; 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM

FTE: 6 hours per day (4.5 hours EL, 1.5 hour Clerical); 30 hours per week

Desired start date: September 8, 2026
