Key focus areas include Move supplies and boxes within client's home, Lift boxes, decor, and some furniture within the home and to new locations, and Sort, organize, and pack household goods for moving or selling.

Successful candidates bring Lift 30+ Pounds, Valid Driver's License, and Reliable Transportation. Important skills include Customer Service, Sorting, Organizing, Photography, Martial Arts, and Packing. Preferred (not required): Leadership, Listening, Communication, and Curiosity.

Caring Transitions delivers professional and courteous services to help seniors and families relocate, downsize, house cleanouts, online auction, estate sales, and more! In this role, you are part of a team providing excellent customer service to Caring Transition customers in Columbia, SC and the surrounding areas. Within a customer’s house, you would be responsible for sorting, organizing, taking photos for online auctions, boxing items for pick up and shipping, and other similar activities. This is a great opportunity for retirees, stay-at-home caregivers, students, and others who are looking to make extra cash while helping others and want a flexible schedule. No specific experience is necessary. Paid training provided.

Job description (including, but not limited to):

  • Moving supplies/moving boxes within the client's home

  • Lifting of boxes/decor and some furniture within the home and to new location

  • Sort, organize and pack household goods to be moved or sold

  • Safely pack and unpack goods

  • Disposal of unwanted items for donation or removal

  • Photographing and prepping online auctions and estate sales

  • Delivery and shipping of items purchased through online auction

  • Interacting with clients, their families, and other coworkers

  • And more, no 2 days are alike!

Job Requirements (including, but not limited to):

  • Must be able to properly lift more than 30 pounds

  • Must have a valid drivers license and reliable source of transportation

  • Must be able to stand and work for long periods of time

  • Access to a smart phone for scheduling, time-keeping, photography & project management apps

  • Must be able to pass a background check

Availability and hours:

  • Include your availability when applying.

  • Part-time to Full-time hours--no two days or weeks are the same with no guarantee of hours.
