Custom Truck One Source, 21209 Durand Ave., Union Grove, WI 53182

  • Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM start (1:30pm; overtime as needed to 3:30pm)

Position Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Equipment Assembler with hands-on mechanical and welding experience to join our growing team. This role is responsible for assembling, fitting, and modifying commercial truck equipment including utility bodies, cranes, hydraulics, and liftgates .

  • If you enjoy working with your hands, reading blueprints, and seeing your work roll out the door fully assembled—this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and install truck bodies, equipment, and accessories on chassis

  • Perform welding and basic fabrication work as needed

  • Mount and align hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical components

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions

  • Inspect completed work for accuracy and quality

  • Safely operate tools including grinders, plasma cutters, and torque wrenches

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years experience in mechanical assembly or welding (preferred)

  • Basic hydraulic and electrical understanding a plus

  • Ability to read blueprints or schematics

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, bend, and work in various positions throughout the shift

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training a plus
