General Summary:

The CDL Driver is an experienced driver that will help deliver materials and equipment to and from job sites and help with tasks around the warehouse shop as needed.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Operates all types of Class A CDL equipment and standard pickup trucks to make deliveries to job sites.

  • Loads and secures materials on vehicle and often manually unloads vehicle.

  • Conducts pre-trip inspection of delivery vehicle to assure that vehicle is safe to drive and roadworthy.

  • Operates forklift as needed.

  • Carries out duties of laborer to supplement shop labor needs and cleaning etc.

  • Interacts in a team environment.

  • Performs other duties/special projects as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Minimum of one-year CDL driving experience with a good driving record.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with basic math skills.

  • Good verbal communication skills.

  • Reliable with capability of working independently.

  • Ability to get along well with others in a team setting.

  • Ability to deliver and unload on field constructions sites in all kinds of weather.

  • The ability to climb up and down ladders and steps is required.

  • Ability to lift materials up to 75 pounds on a regular basis with frequent twisting, bending, and turning.
