Full job description

The Operations Maintenance Technician is tasked with performing responsive, accurate, and efficient facilities maintenance work within the overall facility as well as the major attractions areas and the common areas.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES

  • Preserving interior and exterior upkeep of painted areas of the campus

  • Performing commercial painting/wallcovering as scheduled.

  • Maintaining the esthetics of high traffic common areas. (Painting and wallcovering).

  • Restoring painted areas throughout the facility to new-like conditions.

  • Performing custom painting/wallcovering services as contracted by residents.

  • Performing drywall repairs as needed.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of a trade or vocational school program in building maintenance or related field preferred.

  • 3+ years’ experience in building maintenance position required.

  • Knowledge of ceramic tile repair and installation helpful.

  • Knowledge of building maintenance industry.

  • Ability to operate Arial lifts up to 35’.

  • Able to safely operate power and hand tools a must.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays required.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Perform repetitive motion - occasionally 25% of time

  • Stand and move - frequently 90% of time

  • Reach at chest level - occasionally 25% of time

  • Reach above or below shoulder level - occasionally 25% of time

  • Kneel and bend - occasionally 25% of time.

  • Stoop/Squat - occasionally 20% of time.

  • Lift/carry up to 10 lbs. - occasionally 25% of time.

  • Lift/carry 25 – 50 lbs. – occasionally - 25% of time

  • Lift/carry up to 75 pounds - infrequently 5 % of time

  • Push/pull - occasionally 45% of time

  • Able to work at heights between 10 to 35 ft. - infrequently 10% of time
