Successful candidates bring 6+ Years EO Analysis, 3+ Years EM Spectrum Exploitation, and Current TS/SCI Clearance. Important skills include Geospatial Expertise, Imagery Expertise, Quantitative Analysis, Machine Learning Algorithm Testing, Machine Learning Algorithm Evaluation, and EO Imagery Analysis. Preferred (not required): Machine Learning Techniques To EO Imagery and Computer Vision.

Job Description

The Senior EO Imagery Analyst / Scientist shall provide geospatial and imagery expertise and quantitative analysis to make recommendations that improve data curation and development in support of Machine Learning (ML) algorithm testing and evaluation.

Day-to-day tasks may include but not be limited to:

  • Assist the EO Lead in conducting assessments of potential differences between new sensor characteristics and capabilities compared to currently utilized platforms.

  • Assess potential differences in metadata, data format, and data structure characteristics in regards to changes to databases, schemas, API s and other ETL related processes for the ingestion and movement of data when integrating into the existing data operations pipeline.

  • Determine how to acquire new data, potential latency associated with acquisition, data formats, and security domains.

  • Determine how to pre-process and standardize the data to match existing data standards or to be transformed into a usable state for labeling and model testing purposes. This may involve converting between file format types or tiling full-size images into specified sizes or geospatial bounds.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • 6 years as an Electro-Optical (EO) Analysis expert with understanding of collection, phenomenology, imagery formation process, and exploitation products. An approved degree, may be substituted for some experience.

  • At least 3 years of experience exploiting the electromagnetic spectrum determine the occurrence and location of objects of interest.

  • Demonstrated experience with EO imagery quality metrics and sensor metadata describing impacts of geometry on phenomenology.

  • Strong in communicating with a variety of technical and non-technical audiences on the availability and capabilities of EO imagery products, methodologies, procedures, and algorithms to enhance analysis.

  • An understanding of the principles of remote sensing and imagery processing and advanced exploitation methods.

  • General experience in Machine Learning (ML) techniques to EO imagery and data to address intelligence problems is desired.

  • A current TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain CI poly if necessary

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Experience applying Computer Vision (CV) and machine learning (ML) techniques to EO imagery to address intelligence problems.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $118095 - $200762

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
