GENERAL OVERVIEW:

The mobility technician will collaborate with nursing leadership, rehab services, quality, patient care technicians, physicians, and therapists.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate and facilitate early mobility interventions (40%)

  • Assist staff with mobilizing complex and high risk patients (20%)

  • Updates patient EMR as directed- including white boards (10%)

  • Educate staff regarding safe patient handling equipment and mobility tool (10%)

  • Serve as an active member of the mobility and fall team (10%)

  • Monitor mobility metrics and lead performance improvement initiatives (10%)

  • Other duties as assigned or requested.

Q UALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • High School/GED

  • CPR – American Heart Association

  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate

  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Preferred

  • Acute patient care

SKILLS:

  • Safe transferring of patients

  • Mobilize patients

  • Education to staff on documentation

  • Education to staff on equipment

  • Documentation of mobilization

**** Working Schedule Hours****

Full time - 36 hours work week. Must be flexible to work 8 hour days/evenings with fair share weekends and holidays.
