Compensation:

$20/hr to $25/hr. - Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Overview

We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Data Center Inventory & Asset Technicians (DIATs) to support inventory, logistics, material handling, and asset tracking operations within a large-scale data center environment.

This role is responsible for receiving, tracking, staging, transporting, and maintaining inventory accuracy for data center hardware and infrastructure components. Technicians will work closely with deployment teams to ensure equipment is available, organized, and delivered to the right location at the right time.

The ideal candidate is organized, process-driven, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory & Asset Management

Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments

Track inventory and assets using inventory management systems

Perform cycle counts and inventory audits

Maintain inventory accuracy and report discrepancies

Assist with asset tagging, labeling, and tracking activities

Ensure inventory records are updated accurately and timely

Material Movement & Staging

Move hardware and materials throughout the data center campus

Stage equipment for deployment projects

Deliver equipment to technicians and deployment teams as needed

Assist with hardware returns, decommissions, and asset recovery activities

Organize inventory locations and maintain storage standards

Logistics Operations

Support loading dock operations and shipment processing

Verify equipment against packing slips and shipping documentation

Coordinate movement of materials between buildings and work areas

Maintain chain-of-custody and asset accountability processes

Follow established inventory and logistics procedures

Operational Excellence

Follow established SOPs, safety requirements, and quality standards

Maintain clean, organized, and audit-ready work areas

Escalate inventory discrepancies, damaged equipment, or process issues

Participate in shift handoff and operational communication processes

Support team goals related to inventory accuracy and operational readiness

Skills and Requirements

Required Qualifications

1-3 years of inventory, warehouse, logistics, asset management, or supply chain experience

Basic experience using inventory management systems, warehouse systems, or asset tracking tools

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to follow documented processes and procedures

Comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment

Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications

Physical Requirements

Data center experience

Experience supporting large-scale operations, distribution, warehouse, or logistics environments

Experience with inventory audits and cycle counts

Experience using handheld scanners and asset tracking systems

Forklift or pallet jack experience
