  • Check 3D model design for compliance against Engineering drawings, or specifications, and verifying soundness of design, and capability of fit between components.

  • Automate processes and standardize through workflows, templates, and other means.

  • Provide administration for CAD software applications, resolving end user issues, and ensuring end user compliance to engineering modeling and drafting standards

  • Develop and implement CREO modeling standards in regards to standard parts, templates, formats, and configuration files.

  • Implement and maintain CREO Check-Mate to meet current business needs

  • Validate released CAD models to released drawings from simple to complex geometry and dimensions accuracy and ASME standards before releasing to Manufacturing for production

The ideal candidate has a thorough understanding of fundamental configuration management principles related to configuration control of 3D models. We are moving to a digital environment, where you will be responsible for ensuring that NX and CREO 3D models generated by Engineering (or Design Drafting) meet ASME standards. 3D models are used by Manufacturing to machine parts, and by Quality Engineering to inspect parts. You will be responsible for working with Engineering and Drafting to adhere to current modeling standards, which will be presented through formal in-class training, or training materials.
