Full job description

These roles involve patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. May work across various healthcare settings, such as hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and community health organizations. Responsibilities include the delivery of medical care, supporting patients and their families, and ensuring the effective functioning of healthcare teams. Requires Registered Nurse certification.

These roles are responsible for guiding patients through the healthcare system, helping them understand their treatment plans, and coordinating care across multiple providers. Care navigators ensure that patients receive timely care and have access to resources that support their treatment journey.

Individual contributors with responsibility in a clinical discipline or specialty. Typically involves diagnosing, treating, and caring for patients, and often include face-to-face interactions with patients. May also spend some time designing and implementing clinical programs, policies, and services using specialized knowledge and skills. Specialty license or certification required which is acquired through advanced education, training and/or experience. This career stream will be most commonly applied to patient care and/or scientific/laboratory technologist jobs. ​

Requires basic knowledge of job procedures and tools obtained through work experience and require vocational or technical education.​ Works under moderate supervision. Problems are typically of a routine nature but may at times require interpretation or deviation from standard procedures. ​ Communicates information that requires some explanation or interpretation​.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.

Experience: 1 year of registered nursing experience required, 3 years of related and relevant registered nursing experience strongly preferred.

Specialty Board Certification strongly preferred

License/Certification: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids, and infectious diseases.

The pay range for this role is $85,820.80 - $113,401.60 annually. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
