Full job description
Position: General Maintenance Technician
Description : General Maintenance Technician- Electrical experience preferred. Classified Position, 240 Days, pay grade (M7-Craftsman I), with hourly rate depending upon relevant work experience. Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
Job Summary: To perform general maintenance jobs under the direction and supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor
Assists other technicians and sub-contractors as needed. Assists in estimating labor and material costs associated with repairs or replacement projects Completes and maintains all required paperwork; maintains and submits accurate and complete records of all work orders. Maintains all tools related to the position. Accepts full responsibility for maintaining and operating a system vehicle, if provided. Is accessible and considered to be on-call 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Adheres to all School Board policies and procedures and demonstrates professional and ethical practices in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the job. Complies with any reasonable oral or written request of the Maintenance Supervisor, his/her designee, or other appropriate district administrator. Demonstrates excellent attendance and punctuality. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED with relevant training and/or experience; Holds a valid Georgia motor vehicle operator's license; Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills Application Procedure: Applicants should complete the system application available at www.cartersvilleschools.org .
