Responsibilities

• We are seeking a reliable and motivated CDL Over-the-Road (OTR) Driver to join our moving and storage team. As an OTR Driver, your primary responsibility will be to ensure safe and efficient transport of goods and personal belongings of our customers across the continental U.S. You will manage all aspects of truck operations, including loading and unloading, regular vehicle maintenance, adhering to safety regulations, and keeping accurate logs of travel and cargo. You will also be responsible for the safe handling of customer belongings, and for maintaining clear and open communication with dispatch and clients regarding delivery timelines and any potential delays or issues.

• In addition to driving, this role involves a significant amount of physical labor. As a CDL OTR Driver, you are expected to be physically capable of lifting and moving heavy items, and to have a good understanding of how to secure and arrange items in the truck to prevent damage. Strong problem-solving skills, exceptional customer service, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism are also important in this role. The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, a valid CDL, and a minimum of two years of experience in long-haul driving or in the moving and storage industry.

Education Requirements

• Possession of a high school diploma or higher level of education, showcasing fundamental knowledge and skill sets.

• Willingness to participate in a random drug screening program, maintaining a safe and drug-free working environment.

Experience Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in a CDL role, highlighting familiarity with industry-standard practices and responsibilities.

• Strict adherence to all road and transportation regulations, as well as DOT Safety Laws, signifying a commitment to safety and legal compliance.

• Proven ability to operate vehicles safely under a variety of weather conditions and at any time of the day, indicating flexibility and resilience.

• Excellent time management, interpersonal, and administrative skills, enabling efficient operation and positive customer interactions.

• Superior physical stamina, underscoring the ability to handle the physical demands of the job.

• Readiness to work for extended periods, if required, showing dedication and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Holds a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL), signifying advanced driving skills and knowledge.

• Must successfully pass pre-employment and periodic random drug screenings, ensuring a drug-free workplace.

• Willingness and ability to be on the road and away from home for periods of 7 - 14 days at a time, exhibiting flexibility and dedication.

• Demonstrated proficiency in basic mathematics, enabling efficient load management and accurate record-keeping.
